Credit Card Acceptance Through Your PC
iTerminal is a browser-based, payment-processing application that resides on ABTEK Financial Web servers. This product supports transaction processing for the Retail, Card-Present environment. With iTerminal, merchants have the processing capabilities of a physical point-of-sale terminal from their Web-enabled personal computer, paired with an external card reader.
PC Interface Application
iTerminal acts as an interface to the ABTEK systems for the merchant. It allows the merchant to perform transaction requests just as they would with a terminal in a physical location, such as: sales, authorizations, refunds, voids, prior authorized sales and settlement. The required card reader uses a USB connection. The optional PIN pad uses a serial port to connect to the PC. Both communicate through an existing Internet connection - no additional phone line is needed.
Secure, Flexible Access
A multi-level user login system protects against unauthorized use:
Store Regular Access: This user is required to enter the correct access codes where enabled.
Admin Read-Only Access: This user has read-only rights to iTerminal screens with the exception of generating reports. This user is not required to enter access codes.
Manager Full Access (no security restrictions): This is a corporate-level user who has full rights to all content within iTerminal, without having to enter access codes where enabled.
Straightforward Navigation
The iTerminal user interface is organized into the following tabs to facilitate navigation:
New Order

Searchable Transaction History and Reports
iTerminal retains six months of transaction history for merchants to access. Researching past orders by card number, invoice number, date, amount range, Clerk ID and more is an invaluable tool in resolving customer inquires and monitoring activity. The merchant may search for transactions in Open Batch status, as well as search for settled batches or transactions, in a choice of several different report types.
Automatic or Manual Closing
PIN debit and ABTEK Gift Card (FlexCache) transactions settle automatically from the Host at 5 a.m. EST. Credit card transactions can be automatically settled once a day or manually settled multiple times. The Auto Settle time for credit card transactions can be modified in the Admin menu.
Shared Views with Customer Service
As a customer service tool, iTerminal allows the ABTEK Advanced Product Support group to have read-only access to the customer transactional database. This means that customer service sees the same information that the merchant is viewing and may assist the merchant when help is requested.
Fraud Protection
AVS (Address Verification Service): An online, real-time service that enables merchants to verify a cardholder's billing address with the card issuer as part of the authorization process.
CVD (Card Verification Data): A verification code that is embossed on the front of a card or printed on the signature stripe on the back. Intended to verify the card's actual presence at the point of sale.
Account Truncation: If account truncation and expiration date suppression are enabled, then only the last four digits of the account number will print, and no expiration date will print on the customer copy of the receipt. The merchant copy of the receipt may be enabled to either print the entire card number or truncate.
Last Four Digits: On a swiped transaction, the user will be prompted to enter the last four digits of the card number.
